Woburn, MA, December 18, 2002 - Boston Applied Technologies Incorporated (BATI) is pleased to announce winning of multiple government and industrial contracts, which will lead to multimillion dollars funding. Formed in July, BATI has been very actively pursuing funding and at the same time introducing new products to the market. "It has been proven that our strategy is successful," said Dr. Kevin Zou, Vice President and CTO of BATI, "with the additional funding, we will be able to further implement our strategy, strengthen our competitiveness, and win in customers design-in cycle for our products during the telecommunication market downturn." Dr. Zou added, "We view the market weakness as a special opportunity for some start-ups, such as BATI, which has great technological advancement and much lower burning rate than big corporations." Although it is new, BATI has won significant recognition from both government agencies and industrial customers because of the excellent track record of the principals, the strong technology platform, and the persistence of market participation.
