- Boston Applied Technologies
Incorporated (BATI), a leading developer of light intensity and
polarization management products, today announced the release of
a new member of the Eclipse VOA family -- Variable Add/Drop
Module, or VADM. The Eclipse VADM is an integration of optical
add/drop module (OADM) and Eclipse high speed VOA. It controls
the optical power of the wavelength channel being added or dropped
in the same module. Based on the OptoCeramicTM technology
platform, the Eclipse VADM features excellent optical characteristics,
including low insertion loss, low polarization dependent loss (PDL),
wide dynamic range, high channel isolation, and high speed power
adjustment. This device contains no moving parts and has the same
reliability as other members in the VOA family. It is an ideal device
for Variable Multiplexer (VMUX) or Variable DeMultiplexer (VDEMUX).
The compact and robust package also provides space and cost savings
and performance enhancement.
For detailed
information and samples about VADM, please contact BATI's sales
department at sales@bostonati.com, or call (781)935-2800.
